The new transit center at Michigan and Cass will be a nice upgrade to
the current Capitol Park hub. But Detroit transit officials would like
to hear feedback on bus routes and possible changes. Three public
hearings have been scheduled to voice any questions or concerns.

The Detroit Department of Transportation will host public hearings
this month to get feedback on routes before officials start to draw up
plans.
The facility, at Michigan and Cass avenues, is nearly
complete, but the fabric canopy covering the parking area outside the
modern-looking glass building can't be installed until spring. The
federally funded project has hit some bumps. The cost soared by $4
million this fall, in part due to what city officials call unforeseen
site conditions and other design changes.
