The Belle Isle Botanical Society and the Association of Professional
Gardeners, in cooperation with the Detroit Recreation Department, are
sponsoring a spring gardening conference.
Topics include roses, landscaping, trees, container gardens and garden
tools. There will also be vendors, including some selling pots and
cool-weather outdoor plants.
Tickets are $30 before March 28 or $40 at the door. The program will
run from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. More than 350 people attended the groups'
first spring gardening event last year.
