6 Salon opens Detroit location

Royal Oak and Birmingham locations for 6 Salon weren’t enough — the trendy salon now has a Detroit location open inside Immerse Spa at MGM Grand.

salon that was chic and had a good reputation in the community, spa
Director Rebecca Sprecher said.

“We chose 6 because it was considered the very best,” she said.

MGM
started paying close attention to the salon after it won a North
American Hairstyling Award for salon design in July. The salons in
Royal Oak and Birmingham were designed by Detroit-based M1/DTW.

The award, which is presented by the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Professional Beauty Association, is considered to be the most prestigious styling award in North America.

“It was one of the biggest things to happen to us,” [co-owner George] Nikollaj said.
