The city’s Downtown Development Authority has 83 projects under contract, 57 projects under construction, and 13 have been fully completed in its push for façade improvements Downtown.

The project aims to enhance the appearance of street-facing facades and parking lot edges in the Lower Woodward area, helping to rejuvenate downtown and attract and retain commercial and residential occupants.

The program was implemented in time for the Super Bowl, but should have a lasting and much broader impact Downtown.

The DDA reviews participants’ design plans and reimburses half of the projects’ costs upon completion, up to $150,000 per building or $30,000 per surface parking lot.
