The new hotels are expected to transform the city’s three casinos from regional attractions into travel destinations, enticing guests to stay longer and spend more, said Michael O’Callaghan of the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The 1,200 new rooms also could draw more conventions to Motown, said O’Callaghan.
