Creative Mornings is a free, monthly breakfast lecture series launching this Friday. Each event is free of charge, and includes a 20-minute talk, plus coffee.
November's Creative Mornings, the first in this series, features Detroit-based musician Luis Resto, a founding member of the influential Detroit group Was (Not Was). Resto has worked with Patti Smith, Stevie Nicks, Mel Torme, Anita Baker, the Highway Men (Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash), 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Detroit hip hop icon Eminem.
Creative Mornings begins Friday, Nov. 2, 8:30-10 a.m. at Skidmore Studio, 1555 Broadway (inside the M@dison Building), downtown Detroit.
Sponsored by Detroit Creative Corridor Center (DC3), AIGA Detroit and Quicken Loans.
