Bookies and Pulse

Feb. 5, 9 p.m.

Cocktails for a Cause: The Mix Masters is back for a fifth year. It is one of several events working in association with WWJ Newsradio 950 and its 31-hour radiothon to help raise money for THAW (The Heat and Warmth Fund). The party features local celebrities behind the bar at both Bookies Bar & Grille and Pulse Detroit showcasing their mixology skills as they battle to create the most creative and tasty drinks throughout the evening.

Local faces scheduled to appear behind the bar at Cocktails for a Cause: The Mix Masters include Las Vegas flair bartender competitor and mixologist Ryan Sturing, hip-hop recording artist Hush, State Sen. Buzz Thomas and many more.

The event is free with cash bar (of course). Bookies Bar & Grille is at 2208 Cass Avenue; Pulse Detroit Martini Lounge is at 156 Monroe Friday, Feb. 5, 9 p.m. – 2 a.m.
