Rock ‘n’ soul guitarman Dennis Coffey plays MCW

A huge part of the Motown house band, the Funk Brothers, Dennis Coffey has appeared on some of the most seminal Detroit recordings ever, including the Temptation’s ‘Ball of Confusion,’ ‘Cloud Nine,’ ‘Psychedelic Shack,’ Diana Ross and The Supremes ‘Someday We’ll be Together,’ Edwin Starr’s ‘War’ and so much more.

Truly a Detroit legend of the highest order, Coffey was the first white artist to appear on Soul Train in 1972 performing his mega hit ‘Scorpio.’ He also wrote the score for cult blaxploitation film Black Belt Jones
