Excerpts from article:

The Detroit Transportation Corp., which owns and operates the People Mover, is auctioning off advertising space on its monorail cars and stations for next January and February.  The article quotes the DTC procurement manager as saying, “it’s the first time we’ve done this, put it out on the street to go to the highest bidder.”  The People Mover has been “wrapping” advertisements on its cars for about 18 months.  The wraps usually cost $30,000. The deadline for filing proposals is Sept. 30.
