March 13th — known locally as 313 Day — is Detroit’s unofficial holiday celebrating the city’s area code, culture, and community pride. From art exhibits and comedy shows to family-friendly events and neighborhood parties, Detroiters have plenty of ways to show their love for the Motor City.

Here are 16 events happening around Detroit to celebrate 313 Day:

1. 313 Day Family Activation with Joique Bell Charity

Detroit Lions players will join the Joique Bell Charity for a family-centered celebration featuring literacy activities, a children’s book reading, and opportunities for parents to register kids for youth programming.

2. House Rules Art Exhibit

This art exhibit showcases Detroit-based artists alongside interactive art classes, music, and food in celebration of the city’s creativity and culture.

Detroit’s newest fried dessert spot celebrates its soft opening on 313 Day.

10. Pure Green 313 Day Special

Pure Green locations across Michigan will offer $3.13 smoothies and mini açaí bowls for the day.

11. The 3-1-3 Celebration

15. 3rd Annual 313 Day Ride

Cyclists will gather for a community bike ride celebrating Detroit’s neighborhoods and greenways. The event begins with a meetup and group rollout along the Joe Louis Greenway.
