More than 99.2% of Super Bowl XL volunteers want to continue to support future local events and programs according to a recent survey. The results of the survey conducted by the Tourism Economic Development Council (TEDC) were announced today at a celebratory gathering for volunteers hosted by the Super Bowl XL Host Committee.

Of the more than 1,800 survey respondents, 98% listed their Super Bowl XL volunteer experience as positive.

“It’s very gratifying to see the positive response from the thousands of volunteers who made Super Bowl XL such a success,” said Roger Penske, Chairman, Super Bowl XL Host Committee. “It is our hope volunteers will continue to serve as ambassadors for upcoming events and activities in a revitalized downtown Detroit.”

Opportunities for volunteers to learn about future community events and volunteer opportunities will be posted on the TEDC’s public information campaign website, http://www.theworldiscoming.com.
