UIX: Portraits of urban innovation

One of the many highlights of last week's Urban Innovation Exchange speaker series was a slideshow of portraits taken by Marvin Shaouni. In case you missed it, here it is in living color and occasional black and white.

For the past 15 months, Model D photographer Marvin Shaouni has worn another hat as Urban Innovation Exchange portraitist.

His asignment is to visually document all the subjects of profiles written by UIX scribe Tunde Wey. Though most are portraits of social innovators like Nefertiti Harris (pictured in today’s Model D) Shaouni also shoots the places where the people do their innovative thing.

This slideshow kicked off last Friday’s “Art of Neighborhood Innovation” speaker series event at MOCAD with a bang. Hit the button below and see why.
