Stanford Jones Media has begun to really get its feet underneath it over the last year, adding its first employee and moving into some posh boutique office space in a historic building overlooking the Detroit River.
Highland Park resident Stacy'e Jones started the Internet radio company in 2007, not long after working at a local radio station. Today Stanford Jones Media provides work for two people and made the move from the
Russell Industrial Center to the
Elevator Building next to the
Dequindre Cut and the
Tri-Centennial State Park.
"I have gotten a great response from fans and artists," says Jones, president & CEO of Standford Jones Media.
Helping make that response possible is a new social media campaign by
Standford Jones Media. Jones has also expanded from just broadcasting at her office to live events and where local musicians work. Stanford Jones Media, which specializes in R&B and hip-hop music, is also expanding into alternative music and helping local artists copyright their work.
Jones plans to expand into video work this year, recording artists when they create their work and spontaneous performances at events. "That is something that is great on video," Jones says.
