SEMSeg set to begin conducting riverfront tours from Elevator Building

If you have taken a Segway tour of Detroit, you've probably ridden on one of Dave Montana's Segways. The owner of Southeast Michigan Segway provided the first Segways for Inside Detroit and D-Tours, and is now setting up his own tour shop in the Elevator Building.

Southeast Michigan Segway, SEMSeg for short, will begin offering its own Segway tours of a grand loop of the greater downtown area from the lobby of the Elevator Building. The tours will head up the Dequindre Cut to Eastern Market, turn left into Midtown, head south into the Central Business District before heading back to the Elevator Building along the Riverfront.

"Detroit has a lot to offer," Montana says. "It has a lot in things, like the Riverfront and the Dequindre Cut."

Montana first became interested in Segways while taking a tour in Florida. He began supplying them in Metro Detroit three years ago to the likes of Inside Detroit and D-Tours before striking out on his own with his own tour company. For information, call Montana at [email protected].
