Green is a big discussion in this city. But what does that mean? What are the realities of going green in Detroit and what are some of those projects?
Model D, in partnership with the
Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, will hope to answer some of those questions at the next speaker series on Dec. 16. After the event, we'll update this page with a recap of the event and (if technology doesn't fail us) some audio.
The evening's panel will include:
• Landscape architect Jeff Klein of
Classic Landscaping LLC
•
The Green Garage, Midtown Detroit
•
Detroit Evolution Laboratory • A representative from the
Coleman A. Young Municipal Building's green efforts
• Plus a representative from the State of Michigan's Bureau of Energy Systems
Each presenter will give an overview of each of their projects and then open up for a discussion with the audience.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the
MOCAD in Detroit's Midtown. The event is free, but we ask that you sign up in advance. So, sign up below and be part of the conversation. Send questions
here.
The Model D Speaker Series is sponsored by
Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit,
Michigan State Housing Development Authority,
Henry Ford Health Systems, Wayne State University and the
Detroit Medical Center.
