Public Pool

March 30, 7-10 p.m.

Hooray, another new opening at Hamtown’s Public Pool, this one called ‘Able Objects.’ It’s a solo show by OmniCorpDetroit co-founder and artist Aaron Blendowski, who goes by the aka Real OK Design. He has created a sort-of post-modern showroom featuring a range of recognizable objects reimagined for urban life. You’ll find a picket fence turned coat hanger, a ladder turned bookshelf and a megaphone turned threat detector.

The opening, Saturday, March 30, 7-11 p.m., features tunes by Kevin St. Cyr, and liquid refreshments.

Blendowski is a graduate of the College for Creative College and Cranbrook Academy of Art. He currently directs Cranbrook’s wood and fabrication studio.

Public Pool is at 3309 Caniff, Hamtramck.
