The sports, political and show business stars will appear in a series of 30-second television and radio commercials to give area residents a sense of pride as the Feb. 5 Super Bowl draws near.
"The purpose of this campaign is really to build excitement with the fact that the Super Bowl is coming," said Ken Kettenbeil, spokesman for the Detroit Super Bowl XL Host Committee. "We've used Super Bowl as a way to celebrate Detroit."
