Crain's Detroit Business has launched a series about living in the
city. Their first stop is the home of a couple in the University
District neighborhood on the West Side.
“There are people here
who really care about the city, about each other, about all kinds of
issues. It is still very diverse — a really good mix — and we’ve got
people who really care about how things work in the city and well
beyond our neighborhood,” says Lucky Weddigen, 63. He and wife Jerry
have lived in their University District home since 1973.
