A few weeks ago Model D published its 100th issue. To celebrate this
milestone, we threw a little party in our Eastern Market loft. Here are
a few happy highlights from the event.
Editor Walter Wasacz snuck around with his candid camera and found music, kids and dogs playing, champagne corks popping and people casually talking and seriously focusing on Detroit's future. All took place with a backdrop of pictures by photographer Dave Krieger and paintings by Carl Oxley III hung in two rooms at the splendid new FD lofts. Paris '68 DJs played tunes by the Detroit Emeralds and the Temptations as sunlight streamed in from the windows overlooking Russell St. Oh, yes, it was summer fun in the city.
Take a peak at the celebration in this
photo essay.
