As a part of our ongoing
celebration of our decade of publishing in Detroit, Model D has teamed up with the Detroit Experience Factory to offer a collection of tours we're calling the Detroit Experience Series. Each outing is designed to give readers first-hand exposure to the neighborhood transformation they've they've been reading about in Model D since 2005.
Our latest installment takes place this Saturday, Nov. 14, and will explore the neighborhoods of the East Jefferson Corridor, from the modernist marvel that is Lafayette Park to the charming canals and neighborhood business district of Jefferson-Chalmers. The tour, which costs participants $25 each, departs from the Red Hook Café in West Village this Saturday at 10 a.m. You can
purchase tickets here.
Tickets are going fast, but lucky for you Model D has a pair set aside.
Tweet @modeld and @weknowdetroit with a link to your favorite Model D story from the last 10 years and include a brief note about why you love it. The person with the best tweet will win a pair of tickets to this Saturday's tour, a value of over $50.
