The great urban race: We got pictures from Criterium Detroit City

It was hot and stayed hot for last weekend's inaugural Criterium Detroit City, a daylong series of competitive bicycle races that included participants of all age groups and stretched across an urban course that began and ended at the Boll Family YMCA.

There were dozens and dozens of cyclists and hundreds of spectators, many standing along key destination points like Detroit Brewing Company, Small Plates and Bert's on Broadway. Model D photographer Marvin Shaouni was there to chase it all down.
