The FD Lofts at Detroit's
Eastern Market are housed in a National Register Historic Building at the corner of Russell and Erskine streets. The building once contained the Detroit Fire Department's Repair Shop. These reconditioned living spaces have been designed and constructed keeping the building’s century-old industrial character intact.
Take a peek inside the lofts, created by
Urban Life Development, and stroll through the market in this week's episode of Model D TV, produced and directed by videographer Tom Hendrickson.
For more information see Model D's previous
report on the development, and a feature on
Launch, a party that brought even greater public attention to the project.
