Significant progress has been made on the restoration of the Vinton Building on Woodward at Congress. New plumbing is installed, 90% of windows are repaired, electrical feeds are run to all 12 floors and the roof will be replaced by the end of the month. Because of the unique collective nature of the development, once all of these tasks are complete, the individual owners of each floor of the building will take over ownership and construction of their own unit(s).
Norm Davies, Vinton Building, LLC secretary and owner of the building’s tenth floor, estimates that construction is running about three months behind of their original December 2006 occupancy estimate. He anticipates that building out individual floors will take 2-3 months, with move-ins starting in February.
Paperwork is in process to structure the condo association for the Vinton, and will be in place before ownership transfers from the LLC to the ten individual owners.
A more detailed description of the building’s ownership structure can be found
