West Riverfront planning meeting scheduled

The Detroit Economic Growth Corp. is holding a public meeting to discuss the first phase of planning for the proposed West Riverfront.  The meeting will take place Tuesday, Aug. 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Wayne County Community College's Downtown Campus at 1001 West Fort St.

Potential plans for public spaces for the West Riverfront developed by Chan Krieger and Associates will be presented with open public discussion to follow. Representatives from the Detroit Economic Growth Corp, The Riverfront Conservancy and Chan Krieger will be on hand to answer questions and record suggestions from the public.  

The area being discussed is from the Detroit River to Fort Street, and from Third Street to West Grand Boulevard. This is the first phase of planning for the project.
