Two historic homes receive facelifts in Corktown

Fast Trac Investments, a Detroit family owned and operated investment company specializing in condo conversions, is currently rehabbing two historic homes on Trumbull.

3113trumbull-300.jpgA 1876 Italianate/Queen Anne Victorian, located at 3113 Trumbull, is one of the oldest homes in the neighborhood. It lies within the North Corktown redevelopment plan and is being converted into three condo units.  Units range from 935 square feet at $160,000 to 1650 square feet at $264,000.

The second home, located at 1753 Trumbull, is a single-family Victorian built in 1900. The 2,300-square-foot house is being restored with an asking price in the high $200,000s.

Fast Trac saw the two homes in Corktown as a great investment.  “Corktown is located in the heart of the city and it is community and family oriented,” says Jan Dijkers, partner of Fast Trac Investments. “It is an appealing place to put your money into, and sell to people who will be contributing to the neighborhood.”

“It made sense to restore buildings that are so beautiful. We are taking great care in rehabbing them to historic standards,” Dijkers says. Both projects are expected to be complete in December.
