Construction has begun for Nine on Third, a row of attached “townlofts” on the northeast corner of Third and Canfield in Midtown.
Nine on Third will be a row of nine attached townhouse-lofts with front stoops facing the sidewalk, rear below-grade parking and brick exteriors.
In the late 1880s, the site housed a Queen Anne-style duplex. “The project is designed to look as a multi-family structure would if it was built in the 1880s,” says Linda Saglimbene, manager of Shaheen Enterprises, developer of the project. “We want the building to blend with the historical architecture of West Canfield.”
Units will be approximately 1,000-square-feet spread out over two stories with additional basement space. Prices will start in the low $200,000s. The project is expected to be completed by late summer 2006.
