Not one but two restaurants are celebrating their grand openings in Rosedale Park.
Though Street Cuisine and Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar have been operating under soft openings, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25.
The two establishments neighbor each other on McNichols Road. One focuses on street food special to various regions throughout the world, while the other offers cold-pressed juices and smoothies, as well as an oxygen bar.
Both are owned and operated by Rosedale Park native Ari Shah.
"What you put into your body is what you get out of it," Shah says. "That is the idea that influenced me to open a restaurant in the neighborhood I grew up in that offers a healthy option with high-quality ingredients."
Street Cuisine features easy-to-hold lamb chops, the house specialty, and also Chicago-style hot dogs, Detroit-style coney dogs, and traditional and boneless wings with an array of flavors. Breakfast is also served.
Meanwhile, next door at Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar, Shah is offering healthy options with fresh ingredients, including cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and wellness shots. The oxygen bar offers 30- and 60-minute oxygen sessions. The oxygen is flavored with essential oils, including lemongrass, lavender, and eucalyptus flavors, among others.
Shah enrolled in TechTown Detroit’s SWOT City program, which offers customized support for brick-and-mortar businesses in Detroit. SWOT City is helping Shah with marketing resources and the grand openings.
"It is an honor to see my vision become a reality and to serve this great city," Shah says.
Street Cuisine is located at 19803 W. McNichols Road in Detroit’s Rosedale Park neighborhood. Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar is located next door.
