The seven-story Security Trust Lofts building at 735 Griswold recently underwent a 14-month renovation, which also included a historic designation that took nearly four years to complete. The 1925 Albert Kahn-designed building is now one of 33 buildings considered part of the newly-recognized historic Detroit Financial District, established through the efforts of Security Trust building owner Joseph Kalladat and historic architect Rebecca Savage. The Lofts feature 19 luxury apartment units with ground- and mezzanine-level retail.
