World Series of Cornhole at Roosevelt Park

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Roosevelt Park

Sept. 16, 11 a.m.

As its promoters put it, the Detroit Cornhole Championship might be the world’s only sanctioned cornhole tournament. Prompting us to call it the “World Series of Cornhole,” naturally.

In addition to world class cornhole tossing the event is paired with the R Park Festival at Corktown’s Roosevelt Park, which means there will be awesomeness on some grand scale we can only begin to imagine.

Get ready for a daylong funfest that includes: pulled pork in the Slows tradition, great beer selection, corn-themed live music by Detroit bands, and lots of people there to take it all in and have a ton of fun.

And there is still one last chance to register your team here. Better hurry, the clock is ticking.

The cornhole good times are at Roosevelt Park, beginning at 11 a.m. and goes for hours and hours. See you there at the intersection of Michigan Avenue, W. Vernor Hwy and 14th Street.
