Metro Times Blowout returns this week, celebrating its 16th year. The event is one of the longest-running and largest events of its kind in the country.Â

In 2013, Blowout will return to Detroit and Hamtramck for three nights of music entertainment beginning this Thursday. But, new this year, the festival will expand to Ferndale a second weekend in early May.
