2739 Edwin

April 27, 7-10 p.m.

Haven’t been to nifty Hamtramck art loft 2739 Edwin yet? Well, here is the perfect opportunity. The work of multi-talented Ben Hall is featured beginning this Saturday, April 27.

The show is called “Let’s Don’t Take No Chance.” We love the title but we don’t have the foggiest what Hall — a visual and sound artist with international cachet — has in store for this one. Our verdict: just go, man, go.

Hall’s exhibitions include Spatial City at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and Outside Mediation at the Green Gallery at Yale University. He received the EAF12 young artist fellowship at Socrates Sculpture Park in New York City in 2012. Hall writes about music for London’s the Wire and has performed (a percussionist, Hall has performed with improv jazz players and his own group, Graveyards, all over the world) at the Kunstcentrum Belgie, Hasselt Belgium, Instal, Glasgow, Scotland, and the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.

2739 Edwin is just where you think it is: 2739 Edwin, just west of Joseph Campau, Hamtramck.
