Detroit To Host NCAA Frozen Four in 2010

Detroit has been selected to host the NCAA Men's Frozen Four hockey Tournament for 2010. The economic impact to a city in hosting the Frozen Four is estimated at $10 million, but the number could increase based on Ford Field's larger capacity compared to past Frozen Four facilities.

Breast cancer run, walk in downtown Detroit draws 30,000

An estimated 30,000 Metro Detroiters converged downtown Saturday for the 14th annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure, a fund-raiser that raised a record $1.2 million locally last year.
