People from across Detroit and the Metro area tuned in to learn more about how transit leaders plan to keep their buses, drivers, and riders safe during the pandemic.
The theme of this year’s conference was planned since January, but in light of the conversations around the Black Lives Matter movement and the “new normal” in the midst of a global pandemic, it is one organizers felt has had increasing relevance to today’s world.
The protest was the idea of Que Roland, founder of coworking space Seat Detroit in Eastern Market. Roland, a mother of three, saw her influence in the area as an opportunity to give a voice to her children and others in the area in a safe space.
While the pandemic has put some of our favorite seasonal activities on hold, summer in Detroit isn’t canceled — we rounded up some of the best virtual and in-person events (with proper physical distancing of course) to add to your bucket list.
