Anti-Auto art show tradition continues at CAID
Jan. 18, 6 p.m.
The 2013 North American International Anti-Auto Show opens with a creative black tie preview gala Jan. 18, 6 – 9 p.m. at Detroit Contemporary, running at the same time as the Black Tie Charity Preview of the Auto Show at Detroit’s COBO Arena.
Admission is $1 (you read that right) and includes sneak peeks of this year’s rollouts; drinks and hors d’oevres; entertainment by the Anti-Auto Show Girls, sketch performances by the Nyx, and music by Odd Hours).
After the gala, the Anti-Auto Show exhibition is free after 9 p.m. Casual attire for the public is permitted after the preview.
Artists Include: Jen Boyak, George Brock, Heather Garland, Erin Partridge, Mavis Farr, Vito Valdez Assocreation, Tracy Lovell, Mich McEwen, Chloe Bass, Amir Husak and One DR.
Detroit Contemporary is at 5141 Rosa Parks Blvd., Detroit.
