East Side

The city's far East Side neighborhoods — including Warren/Conner, Morningside and East English Village — are bedroom communities with lots of amenities. Just a short drive to downtown, right next to the Grosse Pointes and not far from other suburban districts, the East Side is a convenient, easily livable, tight-knit community.

The gorgeous Tudors of East English Village are eye-catching, and the other neighborhoods have solid stock of brick bungalows and Cape Cods. Plus the Morningside community has brand new townhomes and single-family homes.

Shops for groceries, books, bikes and antiques line Mack Avenue, East Warren and Harper, making this one of the city's best areas for retail.

There's a lot to explore, too. Try sledding at Balduck Park, riding a waterslide at the county's water park, and hitting the links at the Chandler Park Golf Course.
