Liz Blondy’s Canine to Five Detroit Dog Daycare has opened an expanded outdoor dog park, a story Model D reported earlier this month. The Detroit News touts it as an indicator of Detroit’s livability.

Canine to Five now has nine employees and a
steadily growing clientele that comes from as far as Ann Arbor. When
the day care first opened, Blondy said, it averaged five dogs a day. It
now averages 24 dogs a day and grooms between 80 and 100 a week.
Boarding services are booming as well, partially fueled by the fact
that a staff member is on-site 24 hours a day in order to reduce animal
stress.
