Time is running out to submit your nominations for individuals who are changing Detroit for the better. The Shining Light Awards are taking nominations until July 29 for three awards: The Neal Shine Award for Exemplary Regional Leadership, the Eleanor Josaitis "Unsung Hero" Award, and the Dave Bing Future Leader Award.

Shining Light Awards will honor
individuals who are making important contributions to regional
cooperation, progress, and understanding in metropolitan Detroit. Our
purpose is to give broad exposure to people who are making the tough
and often politically difficult decisions to further regional
cooperation and, in that way, encourage others to follow in their
footsteps.
