Initiatives Support have all pledges financial support to Mayor Kilpatrick's Next Detroit Neighborhood Initiative.

Skillman and LISC have launched multiyear projects that focus on
specific communities in the city, several of which include areas
targeted by the mayor. Officials with both agencies say they hope to
coordinate their efforts in those neighborhoods with the city's plans.
"We believe the things the mayor is going to do around city services
and development -- making sure the neighborhoods have the right
infrastructure -- will sustain the work we are doing," said Tonya
Allen, vice president of programming for Skillman.
